As buyer you will handle purchase requests and tenders for a wide variety of goods and services, both OPEX and CAPEX. You will send out RFQ’s, evaluate offers in cooperation with internal customers and negotiate the best possible conditions (cost, quality, service and safety). Resolution of (potential) supplier and/or delivery issues after contract signing and order placing are also part of your job.
With assistance from the senior buyers and under supervision of the team manager, you will be responsible to handle contract renewals or conclude new contracts (e.g. spare parts, facility management, technical interventions, IT, …) For this you will prepare tender documents, send out tenders and evaluate offers in cooperation with internal customers. With assistance from the senior buyers you will lead the supplier negotiations to secure the best possible conditions.
You will also assist senior buyers in handling complex projects and tenders. You are eager to continuously broaden your product knowledge and follow technological and market developments closely, both local and global.
Education: Master degree or equal by experience
Experience: 4-5 years working experience, of which at least 80 – 90% in a similar position, experience with MRO/spare parts procurement and knowledge of logistic flows (warehouse replenishment) is an advantage.
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
IT skills: Profound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Experience with Oracle is an advantage
